To spark interest in local politics during a divisive time, we created a visual identity rooted around the
idea of growth that stood out from the traditional political landscape. After the devastating LA fires,
the California Red Poppy, Faizah’s favorite flower and one of the first wildflowers to bloom after
wildfire, became a poignant symbol of resilience and renewal.
This flower became the heart of the system. Paired with a bold color palette pulled from sun-drenched
skies and wildflower fields, and typography that balances approachability with conviction, the identity
captures a modern Westside LA spirit: warm, inclusive, and deeply optimistic about what’s ahead.
